Businessman of the Year Award 2007/8
Patrik Minder, chef and owner of The Lemon Tree was unanimously voted recently as the Colchester and District Businessman of the Year for 2007/8. The judges commented that Patrik demonstrated abilities, qualities and achievements that were ‘outstanding in all areas’.
Restaurateur of the Year Award for 2007
The Lemon Tree team were delighted to receive a second special award, which acknowledged the fabulous reputation and high standards that the Lemon Tree has been accredited with, when Patrik was named at The Colchester Food & Drink Festival as the Winner of the Golden Oyster Restaurateur of the Year Award for 2007.
Award for Excellence in Customer Service
The Lemon Tree’s efforts and commitment to their customers was recognised in 2006 when they received a prestigious Colchester and District Business Award for ‘Excellent in Customer Service.’ The Award judges were impressed by the dedication and professionalism show by the entire team and acknowledged the fact that the restaurant has a proactive program regarding customer feedback, with suggestions and ideas implemented where possible. Patrik and Joanna were highly commended on making sure that everyone received the same warm welcome whether it was their first visit or their 100th. Patrik said "we want people to enjoy a relaxing and memorable dining experience when they visit The Lemon Tree and we've always had a program of customer feedback where we ask for suggestions and implement ideas. It works well, and the fact that people keep
coming back tells us we're doing the right thing!" Joanna Minder added: "This award is very special to us. We've
put a great deal of hard work into making the
restaurant
a success, but it's also a huge thank you to our
fantastic team who have supported us every step of the way."
